Hello everyone,
About the Author
After retiring with more than 30 years as an educator in the District of Columbia Public School System, I relocated to Marietta, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, GA. For fifteen years, I volunteered at WellStar Cobb County Hospital. My last position was the Women’s and Children’s Gift Shoppe. After perusing the children’s books, I noticed that most books were not attention grabbers. They lacked character development, engaging story line, and background scenery. I relayed my sentiments to my daughter who replied, “Mom, write a book!” “What,” I exclaimed. So, I did.

I'm a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and MWA (Maryland Writers' Association). To date, I’ve written three children’s books: “Welcome to Bump’s World”, “Mickie, Adventures in the Grasslands of Africa", and “Bubbles”. All of the books have been published in several formats, with each ending with “Questions for Thought”. Mickie has an accompanying Coloring Book which allows children to create art, develop fine motor skills, increase their concentration and much more.
In addition to reading and writing, I enjoy playing pinochle, line dancing, and traveling!
My upcoming middle grade novel is “They Called Me Mickey”.
Thank you in advance for your support!
